This motherboard has everything you need to run the next 2 generations of graphics cards.

This motherboard has everything you need to run the next 2 generations of graphics cards. When I buy a motherboard, my priority is to keep it future-proof for as long as possible. I paired this Intel i-7 8700K and a 16GB Patriot Viper 3400 (two 8GB sticks) for my GTX 1080ti. My current setup is incredible for 2k gaming, but I can still upgrade my RAM and cram in another 1080ti if nvidia 2xxx fails for 4k gaming. I've experimented with BIOS overclocking and can report a solid user interfaceโ€ฆ

Satisfied with the quality and performance ASUS Prime Z370-P

Excellent mainboard, installed Intel I5 8600K. The processor can be easily overclocked with the Asus BIOS software. Asus provides software with which the temperature of the mainboard and CPU as well as the frequency of the CPU and the speed of all fans can be monitored under Windows 10. Also installed on the Z370P is a Samsung 960 EVO m.2 SSD. The screws and offset for mounting the .m2 SSD are shipped with the motherboard. A working monitor with NVidia GTX 1080 and sound with a Creative soundโ€ฆ

USB 3 ports not working on the back of the board

If and when they have a firmware update that fixes the inability to have a working USB 3 port on the back of the board, I will change my mind. Now it becomes incomplete. They offered a firmware update and it did nothing. Attached a portable drive and rebooted the system while copying files from an internal SSD to another SSD and that was the second reboot, the first happened while browsing. no warning, nothing. Bah, restart. Currently very unstable.

No defects good performance

The only criticism I have of this motherboard is that the settings for the integrated graphics and graphics card were buried quite deep in the bios. good results with my latest builds with ASUS motherboards and they will also be my choice for my next project.

Still going strong after 4 years!

My current computer build was the first that I created entirely for myself. I grew up helping my dad upgrade his own computers and other people he knew, so I had a pretty good understanding of how to build a really decent computer. The big problem I faced when I started building my computer was lack of funds. It started out as a pretty bare build but I've been updating it constantly for the last 4 years. (I'm currently on a waiting list for a new graphics card at my wonderful local computerโ€ฆ
