Different, but easy to set up

Very different from the previous answering machine, but you can get used to it. Easy to set up and use, and that's a definite plus.

  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Little things

Wasted Money - Office Electronics

Bought to replace my old typewriter should the need arise. I just set up this autoresponder only to find out it's not working.

Simple but nice answering machine

Simple old-fashioned answering machine. I use this with my landline and can avoid the cost of voicemail. I wish the cord that plugs into the phone jack was longer as it cannot be replaced with a longer cord as it is permanently attached to the device. Otherwise I really like this car.

  • Availability
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Poor Sound Quality: Phones and Accessories

I needed to replace a GE device that had a common problem of muting incoming messages without warning, even though the sound quality was excellent. I decided to give this AT&T device a try despite reviews mentioning poor sound quality. These reviews were correct. The sound quality of incoming messages is sometimes so bad that the device becomes unusable. I'm trying out the Radio Shack device right now. Don't waste your money on this AT&T device.

Slick Little Digital

This is a nice little digital device if you want to add phone messaging functionality to your all-in-one but don't want to use the phone company's voicemail service. This small digital phone is compact and takes up little space on your desk. It has many features that allow you to view, listen, repeat, save or delete your phone messages. I particularly like the glowing voicemail link indicator, which appears as both a large number and a pulsing beat at the bottom. Great value from AT&T!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Family very happy with the answering machine

If you want an inexpensive, not too complicated, reasonably well-functioning answering machine, you've come to the right place. The thing is durable and most importantly, the buttons are easy to read. If you've been plagued by machines that made button labels the same color as the background (but a little lighter), then the easy-to-read part is a godsend. Since most autoresponders require you to go through a few initial setup steps, this one isn't particularly difficult. Less effort is good!

Pros
  • Nice look
Cons
  • Some shortcomings

Very reliable machine for the money

I recently bought this answering machine for my husband's office as we have the same one at home (slightly older model) and we are very happy with it. It's inexpensive, easy to use, and does exactly what it's supposed to do - record messages. Accuracy may not be as good as more expensive ones, but we rarely have trouble understanding messages, except messages from people who "speak softly" or have never learned to articulate, or who speak faster than the ear can translate. If you need an…

Good answering machine for the price

This little answering machine works great. The sound is clear enough. I can't understand the negative reviews. Maybe it has something to do with quality control. Luckily mine is in excellent condition despite falling on the table a few times. The volume can be easily regulated. You can choose how many times the line rings before the system answers the call. It also has a three-digit remote access code. Dial from numbers from 500 to 999. It also has a call monitoring feature that allows you to…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
