🐠 ATM Aquarium Products: Freshwater Colony Nitrifying Bacteria for Effective Aquarium Maintenance Review

I literally followed the instructions. This did not affect the cycle of the tank in any way. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what but a week after using it my water levels have changed absolutely nothing compared to the week before using.

This is a must have when starting the hobby. You will have healthy and live fish. I got an outbreak of ramshorn snails and my fish started dropping like flies. Do not buy most plants repackaged. They're full of these tiny scales. After thoroughly cleaning every inch of your aquarium, especially the filter parts, this product will help you on your way. I lost a lot of fish before I knew about this product. Your tank cycle is taking too long. Get this material as soon as possible.

I keep Goldie and after one treatment the biofilter fell off. I changed the water daily to lower the ammonia levels, but it didn't seem to help much. This product worked great. Ammonia has dropped from 1ppm to almost zero with reduced feeding for now and no water changes for 4 days as instructed. Five stars! PS: small fish like guppies (I keep them in a separate tank from Goldies) absorb this substance as soon as it is added when it swims in the water. I highly recommend ATM Colony.

I'm not sure about this product. I tend to overdose on the nitrifying bacteria a bit (e.g. stability - I could drink from the bottle with no side effects; it never kills my fish). However, I bought this product new and added 2-3 times the recommended dose as I am used to. The night before I trained with Stability and the next morning I woke up with half of my shared tank dead. I struggled to fully run a 20 gallon fresh water tank for about 3 months. I had to salt my aquarium against Ichthyophthirius which caused many of my plants to die off and then caused high nitrite spikes which I believe stalled my nitrifying bacterial cycle. This is a good product but the buyer should be aware that it is also a bit misleading. The product says you can add fish straight away, which is just not true. Although the ammonia-eating bacteria were spotted almost overnight, it took a good 4-5 days for the nitrite-eating bacteria to show up. Nitrites are very harmful to your fish, even worse than ammonia. Even trace amounts can cause the immune system to malfunction and leave your fish vulnerable to disease.
