Good, reliable, hard to kill board!

I was wondering whether to buy a real Nano board or get a fake one for my first Arduino project, but I'm glad I finally decided on this one. I even fried the board for the first 15 minutes by turning the input pin HIGH and smoke was coming out of the little thing. I thought about ordering a new one, but looking from the back I saw that one of the capacitors near the USB connector had burned out, so I just closed the contacts with a soldering iron, and boom, the board was up fully functionalโ€ฆ

Even bigger than Uno, but much smaller and ready for prototyping!

This is an amazing little board! It basically includes the entire Arduino Uno plus additional I/O pins (since the surface mount package has more pins than the DIP package used in the Uno). This device is designed to connect to a breadboard or breadboard and can also be soldered directly to a circuit board or attached to a set of strips to act as a connector. It comes with a very short USB programming cable. At such an amazing price this is a real steal and amazing little technology!

These Arduino Nano are the best. Works without error

These Arduino Nano are the best. Works without error. I'm using one of these to create a logging switch - it's not there. This smart supper switch gets the brains of nano. The switch controls the electric heater that I used in place of my church cauldron. I replaced the ship batteries + generator + windmill and unplugged it. A bit expensive, but no more heating costs! in the winter. The actual brain of the heating system (Arduino Mega) switches between the batteries and the generator. Switching

Pretty good!: Computers and accessories

Works great! This is definitely a great purchase at this price. You can use the ATmega328p datasheet to determine the correct port pins if you don't want to use the Arduino library. However, I'm curious if the pins still have full ATmega328p functionality. this. can I still use SPI? If anyone knows, please reply. I have some great ideas for this little guy when I can. EDIT: SPI works. You'll have to play around a bit to figure out the pins. They are as follows: Pin D10 = PB2 = SSP; pin D11 =โ€ฆ

Works well with Ubuntu

Works great on my Ubuntu Linux system with USB port /dev/ttyUSB0 (or /dev/ttyUSB1 etc.). No new drivers need to be installed with this operating system. Works well with Arduino Create. Well constructed. Supplied in a small anti-static bag with protected contacts inserted in a small block of styrofoam (?). The USB cable is "exactly" a foot long, including the length of the connectors. This is a short cable - just be aware of its length.

Pros
  • Sleek design

  • Annoying

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE

This "Arduino" board is a Chinese clone but still works fine if you choose the ATmega328p (old bootloader). Other than that, this board is amazing. EDIT: After contacting support, they refunded $5 to my Amazon account as compensation. Overall impression: WONDERFUL!

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Sad packaging

OSX and CH340G best in Computers & Accessories category

EDIT: Despite many attempts, I haven't been able to get it to work with a Mac in High Sierra using any of the available drivers. I got great support from MakerFocus and they were really active in trying to help with the issue. Excellent seller! I was never able to contact the Arduino IDE even though I had installed 3rd party drivers for the CH340G chip and even though the device was recognized by the OS and IDE. The reset button trick didn't work either.

Cons
  • High Price

Despite the flaws in the documentation, it's quite possibly my favorite Nano clone. Great value for money, and it's a solid, well-built unit. First off, it's basically just the form factor that I like: a basic breadboard small enough to be used in almost any project, and a wire wrap for permanent use (or connector desoldering). Uno power in a much smaller form factor and USB programming. My first complaint was that they used to come in packaging that didn't protect against ESD. My last orderโ€ฆ
