📸 Atomos Shogun 7 Recorder-Monitor Review

I asked if it was used for Sonya7 iii and they said yes, but now I'm buying it, I see that it's not for recording in Prores Raw, it's only for use as Monitor. They are not made clear in the description of the item

I updated the firmware and it has all the declared features. This seller is expensive. But the monitor/recorder/switcher works as advertised AFTER a firmware update. Pretty cool actually all the different formats. HDR etc.

I recently received my Ninja V after factory calibration because it was very orange from day one and now my new Atomos Shogun 7 has arrived and it's PINK! I have no idea what's up with Atomos but these products are very underrated and I'm done with them!

This monitor is amazing. With the update, most features are in place and a few more are awaiting, but you can see Atomos actively developing and releasing firmware updates. I believe and can't wait for the multi-camera switching update.

The Atomos guys sell this product as a "monitor recorder switcher". But it doesn't work as a switcher, and it doesn't even work as a multitrack recorder. It only works as a monitor and 1-track recorder. These people said that the buyer should wait for the next firmware, without even giving a timeline. I don't know about the future but for now I'm sure buying this product is really a waste of money and I really want a refund.

Unfortunately, I was only able to test this product a month after purchasing it, so I cannot return it. No matter how I bought this item for the price. Big product promises, but painstaking execution. I've been trying to get it working with 4 HD cameras, Sony mirrorless cameras, with the same images and resolution for a week now - to no avail. The channels were not recognized, but the individual channels were fine. This was the latest updated version 10.3. Atomos answered my call for help too late.
