I just gave this to a young friend today so I don't know how it will work yet. but on the promotional material and packaging i would like to see at least a few babies including a girl and a black child. The focus knob was very tight. Great concept.

I have to say this gadget is pretty darn cool. My 6 and 7 year old girls love it. You fight for it. It actually takes crisp, magnified pictures, even of my hair. I would definitely buy it again and have already recommended it to several of my friends as gifts for their children.

This product is made very cheaply. The power button is out of place and there is chipped paint everywhere. It's light and overall feels like it's just poor quality. I really didn't like the features and there must be a way to scale without having to move the element itself. I sent it back and would not recommend it.

This is so cool! As science geeks we have bought several microscopes for my daughter over the years and have been disappointed. One of the few things I've bought for my kids that has really exceeded my expectations. It's not a microscope, but you really can't tell because this kid gets close, I mean close to things. My sister got her son one for Christmas and I was jealous! How glad I was when he was half gone. I bought two! Once as a gift and once for us. My kids photographed all sorts of things. This is a great product, similar to a microscope but much simpler, more versatile and faster. My daughter is obsessed with her. Note. It will take a little learning at first, so don't be too quick to turn it down if you think it won't work right away. You need to place the object to be observed in the plastic case slightly up towards the lens - if you hold it horizontally on the object it usually looks very blurry, like fog or just a gray screen. Very nice toy, works as advertised.
