Works perfectly with Revain's $20 WEN rotary tool. And I'm not sure what a lot of people mean when they say it's too short and doesn't cover the blade, it fits perfectly and covers the blade perfectly for me. Great deal at 1/3 the price of a Dremel.

While this is a great accessory idea, it does not fit my other similar Dremel tools (Hyper Tough & Goxawee). If your tool looks like any of the tools in the picture I have included, this grinder case will not suit you. I've already sent it back so I can't show you (pictured) why it doesn't fit and I can't remember enough to describe it

I bought this item for my Dremel tool. I wanted it to protect me from dust and large splinters hitting my face. The clear shield is easy to apply but doesn't reach the desired area, it's too short to cover the nozzle. I wanted to use it to drill into metal, but where the drill hits metal the shield was too short and didn't offer any protection.

I don't understand why Dremel and similar devices don't include this protection. Using a stone or grinding attachment can prevent chips from getting into your eye, and using an open saw blade can cause a severe cut on part of your anatomy. SAFETY FIRST! I made myself a guard several decades ago. It can be uncomfortable, but wasting a few minutes is a lot cheaper than going to the emergency room for stitches or worse. SAFETY FIRST.

I've compared it to the version of the Dremel A550 eyeguard that came with the accessory for my Dremel 8220 tool and it's almost identical except that the clear plastic protection is not Dremel's name. Even fits in a bag designed to protect the Dremel. Also fits the old Dremel 395 but due to the large diameter of the eyecup there is a step between the front of the tool and the eyecup when installed. The black threaded part on the guard is larger in diameter than the nose of the original 395. It
