This lamp is a great replacement for our original projector lamp! Chose this one based on the price and previous reviews. To replace a light bulb, all you have to do is remove the light bulb from the projector, remove 8-10 screws from the projector lamp housing, and unplug the old light bulb. The hardest part is making sure you don't leave any traces of oil on the jar or bottle. I also bought some latex gloves to prevent this so don't worry. Great replacement for our original projector lamp! Chose this one based on the price and previous reviews. Would definitely buy again. I would also recommend this to a much more expensive full case as it only took about 20 minutes to install and is less than half the cost of a full case. Advertised as HD180 compatible and looks like the original lamp but does not work with my Optoma HD180 projector. Error (lamp failure) Flashing yellow + red error code.

This is the lowest price I can find for a lamp replacement. I used it to replace the lamp in an Optoma HD33 projector. Looks exactly like the stick that was in my projector. Apparently the guarantee is 150 days.

Excellent purchase at such a price. A little more work to disassemble the lamp unit to replace the lamp. The screws on the assembly are very small and require a micro screwdriver which I used. I almost ripped off the head of a screw and couldn't open it. Good job as the screws are tight. I'm not sure I'll be able to open that screw again next time. I've had the new lamp for 8 months now and it works great. We use the Optoma HD33 as a television on a daily basis.
