Seals too well?: Kitchen & Dining

Seals bags well. Practice high on the bag so you can try again if you leave it in one place for too long. However, when you open them again be careful, many of the repeated seals are torn off on the sides. Once I remember to use the planer to make the new hole everything will be perfect.

Pros
  • Ideal for me
Cons
  • Legacy

It's not worth it. Cuts bags instead of sealing them.

Not recommended. Just seems to cut the packages instead of sealing them. Tried from light to heavy pressure. Light didn't do anything and there was a fine line between sealing the pouch and simply cutting through without actually sealing it. Wouldn't buy again.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Patience with small devices

Took some getting used to, but I like it. I'm having a hard time just pushing the heat over the plastic. I find it best if I use a paperclip on the seal and then go back and use heat to move it around. The battery compartment is difficult to open (part of the lid broke off when opened), but I'm exercising. Batteries are stuck. I try to use it until I'm comfortable.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Press and wait 3-4 seconds

I love this little thing! I snack a lot at work and keep them in my car at the end of the day. This little thing is great for sealing my pockets and making sure they don't open. But for the sake of clarity. The end of the sealant is most effective if you press it against the bag, wait 3-4 seconds, and then pull across it. The seal only activates when pressed. To avoid burns, I'm sure.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Useless product joke!

It just seems practical and easy to use, but it's not. It's a trick! Rolling up the top of the chip and using a plastic clip or elastic band is more convenient and just as effective as this product. After a dozen uses, the heating element is covered with layers of burned packaging, rendering it ineffective. Save money and save time. Use a rubber band or a plastic brace.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Neutral

Works just as described!

Works great! I originally bought this to reseal packs of sticky nail polish applications. They become more difficult to use as they dry out. I was grateful to the previous reviewers for their directions. It made my first bet successful. I've tried this on different types of plastic bags and they all work well. IGNORE reviews that say this device will rip your pocket. The people who wrote this are obviously using the wrong ending to try and seal their bags. This device has a sealable end and a…

Pros
  • Makes me happy
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Works, requires training

I am trying to reduce the need for single use plastic products. I like to take out the products I need and seal them in the original packaging. Often this is for frozen foods. I had something similar once and wore it. I moved in and this was bought to replace what I had. THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE. Depending on the thickness of the bag you are using, you may need to go faster or slower. I sometimes run it bad twice to make sure there are no leaks. But it works if you take your time and repeat it

Pros
  • I keep my fists
Cons
  • Low maintainability
