Not sure if we received

The product came in a plastic bag with no instructions, papers of any kind. It felt like we were getting rubbish! The packaging needs improvement! The item itself seems to work fine after we figured it out through trial and error. Must use more to determine effectiveness

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Works well as intended

I used this trimmer on natural wood strapping and it cuts quickly and accurately. As expected, it leaves a slightly rough edge and requires final beveling and/or sanding. As for the instructions, there aren't any, but if you can't figure it out, you might want to look for a new hobby since it's just a matter of push and pull.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Excellent trimmer for single or double-sided veneer trimming.

There were so many options I'm glad I chose this one. Great trimmer. Clean, tight cuts with no mess or fuss. There were no problems and he made clean one or two sided cuts with ease. It's easy to disassemble for a one-sided cut and just as easy to reassemble. Recommend this trimmer for quick edge cleaning.

Pros
  • Power Tools and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Some Errors

Easy to Use and Intuitive

This is my first time using an edge banding trimmer and it was easy and intuitive. He carefully cut the ribbon fibers and got a very nice edge. I suspect other similar products will do the job just fine too as it's nothing fancy but yes it works well. I've used it on 3/4" maple plywood purchased from Home Depot and on maple edging purchased from Revain.

Pros
  • Tools and Household Items
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Not much of an improvement over a razor blade

I bought this to make veneer as I was looking for something that might work better than a razor blade or bandit tool. I used this on 3/4-inch thick cabinet quality plywood over which I laid a strip of birch veneer for adjustable shelving. I started making just a small batch at a time, making one side, then the other. But no matter how careful I was, I kept getting big gouges from the edging tape. In fact, I prefer the bandit's tool, and if I make good furniture I will continue to use a straight

Pros
  • Edge and Groove Attachments
Cons
  • Only available in Black
