I'm a size 5/6 for my 3 year old daughter, she fits just right. She is very thin but tall for her age. She is about 36 inches tall. I bought this for our trip to Disneyland as the sun needed to be very bright. This keeps them cool by protecting them from UV rays. I read the reviews and bought a size or two bigger and it was the right choice.

I bought this item hoping it would last at least 6 months, the fabric is not of very good quality, my child is a beginner swimmer with minimal use, we have gentle hand wash with Room water used temperature and dry on a hanger, after a few uses the fabric started to sag and I could see the remnants on my child's arm, the sleeve ended up being three times longer. I've never experienced that.

Ordered size 9-10Y for 8 year old daughter. She is about 60 pounds 4 feet 2 inches. Size 9-10 fits her perfectly. So I would say actually it's probably a bit small. She usually wears size 7-8 or size 8 pants and size 7-8 long sleeve tops. She hasn't worn a bathing suit yet but loves the costume. She says it's very comfortable and we both love the color.

Very cute. Bought a 5-6Y for my daughter who wears a size 6 top and size 5 shorts. Fits exactly how I expect a swimsuit to fit - not baggy at all, but not too tight either. I took off a star for the washing instructions - there's no reason a washing machine on delicates can't safely wash this unless they've been really cheap with it. I guess time will tell because I put it in my car.

I really like this swimsuit. I would compare a 5-6 year old to a 6 year old or something. My daughter just got a size 6/6x and it fits just as loosely as many others. For us it was perfect. She likes it and I like the solar projection for her because it's as pale as possible. Now all I have to worry about is putting sunscreen on her face, arms and legs. Putting sunscreen on a four-year-old on a regular basis is excruciating in itself.
