Worked once and a third time then jammed and would not stop. The switching mechanism is unreliable, you never know when it will fail, when it will work. When it comes to laundry transfers, you need something more reliable. I'm glad I put the pump in a swamp so it doesn't ruin my new floors. I do not recommend buying this product.

The pump did not work at first after the tank was full. I had to disassemble the pump housing to see that the float assembly was at the bottom of the sump. There was a plastic cable holding the swimmer's body in place and the cable was broken. I don't think it was delivered like this but was damaged in transit and treated with a neck brace. After attaching the float, the pump worked as expected. It collects under a portable sink.

What I didn't like is that you didn't pack the pump well in the box - when I got it it didn't work at all - sent it back and got another one with the pump not working. I called the factory to see if I could open it up without violating the warranty - they said yes as long as I didn't make any modifications to it. I opened it up and found the pump was upside down. Position it correctly and reseal the unit as it was originally intended to be shipped. Good pump, t. It does a great job.

I bought this pump to use in the basement and run the downstairs washing machine. I've had a few issues with the bubbles that appear to form when the washing machine drain keeps the motor switch operating and the bubbles end up exiting the vent portion of the unit and wetting the floor. Then last night I had to empty the sink that drains into this block to flush out the bubbles and everything is fine again. Not happy that this is happening.
