Batteries don't fit

This is a battery powered pencil sharpener, but the batteries don't fit in the battery compartment. Triple-A batteries are too small and double-A batteries are too big. Without batteries, it's a useless piece of plastic.

Great sharpener for the price

Love this sharpener. Perfect size for home, office or school backpack. It's stylish and very durable. Excellent value for money - sharpens quickly. I've heard reports of difficulties installing batteries, but I haven't had any problems. Simply insert batteries.

Am I all thumbs or am I having trouble getting these batteries in properly?

This sharpener runs on four AA batteries. The battery compartment is small and I had trouble (for me) getting all four batteries in properly. I also had trouble opening the battery cover. Once I got over that, the sharpener worked fine. Please note that the sharpener is only suitable for standard size pencils. It is not suitable for larger diameter pens.
