Bates has always had quality shoes, so the price doesn't bother me. We bought a pair that lasted less than 6 months and had a hole like the one in the picture above. We thought it was an accident and bought a new pair. They lasted less than 4 months. I expected that from a $20 shoe. Super disappointed.

Good shoes. My husband usually wears one brand of sneakers but was willing to try these. Mesh sections are breathable and breathable. The soles have a great profile and provide additional security when walking. The wearing comfort is quite decent. Our regular brand has better arch support compared to these, but still offers good overall comfort. I ordered 10.5 and they fit exactly like our typical 10.5 sneakers (in size). These are great looking shoes but when my husband put them on he said there was little support and he felt they sagged a bit. Not the best shoe in terms of comfort, especially for the price. They got better with orthopedic insoles, but there is no need to buy insoles for new shoes, especially expensive ones. I would not recommend these.

Husband loves these shoes. He says they are light and comfortable. The fit is good and the shoes are true to size. This is a versatile shoe for him. He's on his feet a lot at work, so comfortable shoes are important. And he often wears them on weekends. They are well made and attractive, a winner for him.

I love this shoe. It's the right size with good support. The profile grips well and the upper is very light and breathable. These are good walking shoes. The traditional lacing, which I like, doesn't slip down the leg. Fits well but not too tight. Good shoes all round.

I work in law enforcement and was looking for something light and comfortable. As long as they're great. Feel like running shoes. I haven't had them in a while so I'm giving them 3 stars.

I have had these shoes for more than 2 months and my work is related to delivery. One tore the sidewall at the top where the fabric is and at the top of the boot where the rubber was beginning to peel off. I have worn Bates boots before and they are durable which is not something I can say about the shoes. Although they are very comfortable and light.
