Do yourself a favor and buy the black version. It matches the existing trim perfectly and adds the missing touch that Mazda needed to add to this area of the console. Ease of installation.

It hides part of the plastic and makes the console more stylish. The adhesive worked really well except for a tiny spot on the top left that isn't noticeable unless you really press on it. I like it a lot and hope it stays with age.

I was worried but it turned out great. I had to spend 5 minutes cleaning the spot, applying a sticky primer and installing the Walla. Just looks great and gets rid of shiny plastic that shows dust and scratches. Please update if it doesn't stick.

I didn't like the shiny black plastic around the switch. This is real steel. Great fit. Easy installation, I added some 3M tape to help on the sides. My only complaint is that the top left corner appears to be raised but is not noticeable. Make sure you clean the plastic well before installation. Overall I'm very happy with it.

I ordered black for our 2021 CX-5 Grand Touring and while the pattern doesn't match perfectly, it's pretty darn close to the wood trim on the dashboard and doors. It's the same dark shade, so it works. The leg was perfect! Be sure to use the supplied plastic cleaning cloth before installation. I added some more double sided 3M tape which is available at most auto stores. Some people started out with things that got better over time. This is an easy fix if you just buy this tape and do it again.

I've never been a fan of shiny black plastic finishes because they scratch, show fingerprints and show a lot of dust. This stainless steel console cover solves all these problems and looks good too (see photos of the 2018 CX-5 Grand Touring). It is tailored to fit and easy to assemble.
