We really needed this to work during Hurricane Irma and when we plugged it in to charge (before the hurricane hit) it made a loud popping noise, exploded and shattered the plastic lens and stopped working. Shortly thereafter, the electricity in the house went out. We had to do without the Bell & Howell Light Bar.

There are 3 of these, one with a bad LED, the other seems fine and the third is a lot dimmer than the others. Comfortable but unpredictable. Had to refund 2 of these which I had to take the time to repackage and send back. Waiting to see if the third term of his guarantee lasts. Very dissatisfied!

First, the red charge light NEVER goes out, it has been plugged in for more than two days and is still on, never goes out or turns green. And the light is not as bright as they say! Many flashlights I have are much more powerful. I wanted to build a PC with it. I'll just use other lamps I have. It stinks because I threw away the box, I don't think I can return it!

My device does not have a bright light for several hours, after about 45 minutes it becomes very weak. So I charged it back up and tried it on low and after about an hour it gets very dark. I noticed that it had a small tear on the corner so it may have been damaged in transit. In any case, I will not buy another one or recommend it to anyone

I read the reviews AFTER I ordered this light. Very mixed so I was a little worried. My light is working great so far. The red charging light doesn't go out, but my instructions didn't say that. Mine works while charging. I charged mine for 25 hours as instructed, then turned it on and on low power it stayed on for 11.5 hours. Very bright and sure to light up the room. UPDATE! It's been less than a year since I bought two of these devices. This month both failed (switches not working). If you plan to use them in an emergency, YOU MAY NOT BE BILLED! I don't know how long the battery actually lasts, but the light is pure white and great for working in tight spaces. The stand can be a bit awkward, and since the width of the lamp and the plastic for the leg aren't really ribbed enough, it's easy to tip over. Although this is an optional installation and you get a
