Effective pad but a little bit hard to put on

Nice cushion but slips off bar!

Easily slips off the bar, injured myself midway through squatting my first time using it because it slipped off. Feels comfortable though but super hard to keep it in place unless it’s positioned just right.

Great Find best in my review

I really like this barbell pad. It is super comfy and durable. I also really. like that on most of it the foam is covered in a more durable material. I think this one specifically is more likely to hold up well over a longer period of time but I far I love it.

Highly suggested for hip thrusts and squats

Pros:-the center is smaller, making it ideal anatomically for behind the neck squatting-the center is soft and comfortable on the neck, while the sides seem more durable/rugged-the velcro is high quality-during heavy hip thrusts, I cannot feel the barCons:-you have to position the gap facing up during hip thrusts or the bar may roll and end up in the gap

Works great for lunges

There have been times I have thought that something like this was perfect - I did not know they actually existed, so when I saw it, I was stoked. It works exactly as it should. Add this to your gym!

I added this protective pad to my home gym and have no regrets. The pad is made of tough nylon cover and soft cushion foam sponge but durable enough to maintain good form. The size of the pad is wide to support anyone using it. Comes in an assortment of colors. The Velcro fastens this pad to an Olympic bar securely.

Very comfortable right where it’s needed

My son needed a barbell pad for squats after having some pain and swelling around the base of his neck after a set of heavy back squats. This pad was exactly what he needed, raising the bar slightly off the neck area and placing the weight more on the shoulder area. The pad is very comfortable even at heavy weight, and the material seems to repel sweat appropriately. The velcro attachment makes it very easy for on/off use, and the included loop is perfect for storage. Highly recommend!

Slides after positioning

Great quality but it does slide to the Velcro side once you start working out and have to adjust it back to position where there’s foam which is a bit difficult dude to the fact that you already have the weight on you. Wish it had a better grin on the inside so it wouldn’t slide on the bar.

So great for hip thrusting!

I am very impressed with this hip thruster. I have been going to the gym a lot, but have been scared to do hip thrusts because I didn’t have a pad and didn’t want to look like a weirdo using a yoga mat. This is perfect for those who also want to do hip thrusts but didn’t have any cushion. Great barbell squat pad. It's like 1inch thick, very firm but soft and comfortable. Excellent quality materials, very well made. It gives a nice firm cushion and doesn't hurt you when you exercise.

Helps Out a Lot in my review

Despite not actually taking weight off, it makes heavier sets feel easier on your neck which is always good especially if you want to prevent injuries down the line. Seems sturdy enough to last a while and the straps are made of large segments of velcro. Would recommend for any at home gym user.

I just started my fitness journey and I do not leave my house without it! Super easy to use and remove. Very comfortable to use as I work out.

Doesn't stay in place

After one set of squats, I had to take this pad off. No matter how tight I made it, it kept getting twisted around and threatening to come off the bar. The rest of my squats were better off without this.

Does The Job good for me

I am setting up a workout area in my home and I have a barbell for squats. I came up with a cover by using insulation for heating pipe but it wasn't great. This is so much better. Much thicker and sturdier. Now I have no excuses for not doing my squats!

Easy to put on and very thick padding

I really like this product during my leg workouts. It’s very comfortable around my neck when doing squatting. And like to use it when I’m doing calf raises for extra padding on my knees
