Good for the most part

works well, I was able to plug in a heating pad in my car while napping on my lunch break. but when the car is plugged in it makes a horrible noise when starting, like it's rewinding or something. Not initially, but for me it was only a month or two, too early to show any signs of heavy use. I literally thought something was wrong with my car until I finally figured out where the noise was coming from. it still works.

Good device, but should be labeled better if it is connected to the front.

This unit works very well and has a long enough cord for in-car use. When it's dark it's hard to plug into your air conditioner and as a result I've messed up my USB ports in this unit by trying to plug a cable into them instead of where it should be . Yes it's technically my fault so I didn't say anything and the AC port still works fine, but it's a huge disappointment to me that I can't use my USB connections in this device due to this issue. Buyer Warning! When you buy this unit, please be…

Perfect for traveling with a mid-range laptop

Needed to power a laptop with a 90W AC adapter for extended storage. My 12 volt outlet in my car is rated at 180 watts, so this 150 watt inverter fits the bill perfectly. Powerful enough to power a laptop, but not so powerful that it could potentially draw too much from my car's electrical system. While I know the laptop's 90W power draw will prevent that from happening, it was nice to have a good size for this inverter. The inverter is surprisingly small compared to others I've had and easily…

Doesn't work with my laptop

I liked it at first. I liked the size, color and good length of the cord. I will say my testing wasn't very thorough HOWEVER I had problems using it with my laptop. It charged the computer perfectly when it was off, but when the computer was open the computer went from charging to not charging about every 20-30 seconds. Aside from the annoying changes in my computer (a little "ringing" and a change in brightness) I wasn't sure if it was harmful to the computer. I ended up sending it back and…

  • Consistent test results

  • Questionable senior purchase

Loud fan when first turned on

If I leave the unit in my car overnight to charge my work laptop on the way between meetings the next day, I'll find it the first time I I turn around at the charger. The tiny internal fan makes an awful noise like it's running out of bearings, even though it's mostly new and has only been used a handful of times. Within a minute or two, the noise disappears, but eventually it fails, and in the future the device may overheat if it is operated for some time with a decent load in the summer. Like
