This Frequency Meter can meet your requirements, both for walkie-talkie users and hobbyists. It can measure not only the frequency point, but also the subtone. Automatic decoding function. This is the useful tools for the signal testing and radio maintenance. The frequency counter can continually test the analog radio signal (handhold radio, wireless phone, etc) and digital radio signal. Simple operation, one key mode. This is a great tool for detirmining what tone frequency a radio system is using. The Three-stage elongated gain antenna can gain the decoding precision and gain the distance.

Great before it breaks

It was cool until it broke. I assume it was cold soldering. It has come loose where the black and red wires connect to the board via 9V. Won't work until I get a soldering iron to fix it.

Pros
  • Simple operation, one button mode. This is an excellent tool for determining the tone frequency used by the radio system.

  • Big and bulky

Completely useless radio

When turned on, "Auto 1K" is displayed, then all six digits change continuously, after which the screen turns off. Powered off, restarted, then repeated the power on process and all the numbers keep changing. The worker should read 000,000 and be ready to recognize the frequency. I don't know how others rated 5 stars.

Wonderful! good for portable audio and video equipment

Simple, easy to use and surprisingly sensitive and accurate for the money! He picked up a small 3 watt HT which I turned on over 100 feet away with the exact frequency and PL tone within 1 second of the button press. Very nice little counter and doesn't come with a bunch of junk in the box. Just a small nondescript white box with no frills, unnecessary junk and scraps of paper inside the package. Just a tiny, easy-to-use frequency. Counter that is amazingly accurate.
