If you're serious about your music, read this: I've got a Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro (250 ohms) for almost now year. At first it sounded like the holy grail of high definition and modern music. The bass was tight and as an electronic music producer I found it perfect. But when I used them, I found that they not only got very tired, but also hurt my ears. The best headphones I've ever had!

If you're looking for headphones with an almost flat response (meaning the bass isn't too noticeable and the highs aren't too harsh), this is a great option. Don't confuse the level of clarity you get with high color. These headphones are more responsive to higher frequencies, but their bass isn't muffled. The bass is very accurate. Firstly I have the 600 ohm version of this, not the 250 ohm version shown under the 'Review' heading above. I originally ordered the 250 ohm but changed my mind and bought the 600 ohm version as I will be driving it with a good HP amp and will only use it at home. Then I bought these phones for $164.99 - a great value. Headphone prices can vary wildly and if you are patient you can get them for a good price. I see them selling for $289 at regular retail so wait for the price to get to you. I…
