I like that it is not only made of silicone but also of glass and does not break. The lid is for my microwave. I usually use a glass lid, but it breaks easily. This is a great option.

This coating worked great for the first half of the year. It did its job of preventing food splashes. But a few days ago when I was using it in the microwave it cracked, the jar lid cracked and the jar flew around. It was scary.

Great for dinner plates and spaghetti bowls, but not soup plates or small plates. The diameter is too big, and while it prevents the top and sides of the microwave from splashing, it still leaves a mess on the turntable. I will look for a smaller one for small dishes.

Works great! I love how it can be rolled up to save space. I don't use it in cooking (like ramen noodles) where a lot of water is boiling as a lot of water collects on the inner surface. It doesn't hurt him or anything. It's just my preference. Water/steam doesn't ruin my microwave so I cook without the lid.

This is a quality product. Haven't owned it in a long time so I don't know how long it will last, but it's well made with quality materials. I bought the larger version, about 12 inches in diameter, and found it a little big for my spinning microwave carousel. So I bought this smaller one, about 10 inches in diameter, and it's the perfect size for my microwave. However, I have kept the larger one for occasional use with larger bowls.

I used to have a cheap plastic cap and it started to melt. I saw this online and didn't want to spend that much at first, but now I'm so glad I did! Since it's glass it's a lot heavier and stronger than the cheap plastic I had. It's also larger so it covers everything better. I am very satisfied with this purchase and can only recommend it!

Yes it is a bit expensive when you can buy a microwave cover for a quarter of the price of this silicone glass cover. And I'm so glad I did. It works great and I don't mind other reviews that it doesn't ventilate well. Yes, there is some condensation on the inside of the top of the lid after use, but it's a little fiddly to wipe it off. I find the size and height and diameter to fit most of my bowls and plates. Don't make up your mind and buy this instead of the cheap plastic ones.

Honestly I have no idea how I lived without it for so long.
