Big Horn 19134 Wood Featherboard Review

Peachtree Woodworking sells them for $9. I ordered these more expensive ones because the sizes listed were larger than Peachtree Woodworking. They are much smaller than advertised and not worth the hassle and cost of returning them. The buyer beware and unfortunately the buyer's remorse.

holds material with enough tension and runs smoothly. I like the round end metal vertical holder, although it would be better if it was longer with a longer groove - I have made additional holders for it in different sizes for different purposes as they become available.

I've had one for a few years and am ordering two more as I write this review. I agree with one reviewer who had some difficulty putting it on, but it seemed to work itself out with use. My wife uses this a lot in her projects and has no problem getting it tight enough. I'm surprised it's lasted so long and retained its elasticity, but it looks just as good as when I bought it. A small lever designed to keep the material horizontal isn't that useful as it has a limited range of board thicknesses
