I had a specific purpose for these scissors and their looks were part of that equation. I wasn't thrilled with the image I saw but figured they would work well enough. Imagine my surprise when they arrived and I turned them over to find that the other side, not pictured on Revain, is stunningly beautiful. These scissors work great and will look great on my sewing chain.

I was surprised by the weight of these shears, they are heavy and strong. On the downside, that weight makes them a bit awkward to carry on the chain they come with. They're great for embroidery and the case makes them less likely to pierce my bag when I take my sewing machine out on the road. I bought these scissors mainly for when I need to crochet on the plane as I always have trouble finding scissors. I've found them to be very handy at home too, especially when I'm working on a project with a lot of thread colors. Very happy with the purchase! On my machine I am good at embroidering decorative stitches and knitting patchwork quilted tops. They're incredibly sharp, and with the included necklace, I don't have to worry about them ending up where my kid can find them or getting lost among the quilts on my sewing table. Now they are hanging on my wall but I can easily wear them around my neck and not worry.
