Better than expected

Thanks to all the previous reviews for helping me decide to try it and I hope my experience inspires you! This is not a trash bag without tears. My compromise for punctures or wetness is to use a pad of newspaper between the bag and the bin along with a container of baking soda and then another sheet of newspaper in the bag. This will help absorb condensation and prevent frequent tears. I know I'm wasting paper. But if I don't find a responsible routine or a handy green item, the family won'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

They work well when used properly.

I bought these to use as regular bin liners. Most of my trash is biodegradable/compostable, but NYC is so backward that they don't have a decent city compost collection, and I'm not interested in just taking a very select portion of my compostable materials to farmers markets once a week. As a West Coast settler, I find it appalling how backward this city is. In any case, these bags are fine. My biggest issue with these bags is how quickly they break when something is even remotely wet in theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Finally a great compost bag for the kitchen!

Finally! This is the only manufacturer I know of that makes large kitchen size (13 gallon) bin liners. Everyone else seems to think 3 gallons is enough. Well, if you have a family or use a lot of fresh groceries or juices at home, 3 gallons just won't do. We have a compost-only kitchen bucket and use it as a liner. Actually we use two because they are too thin. And that's why I gave it one star - in terms of usability, two is a bummer. But whatever it is. BENEFITS: Being certified compostableโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Durable finish

  • Damaged
