This little stamping machine works great. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well it cuts! This is the heart of any punching machine. I am uploading the image below to show the intricate matrix I cut out of 80# cardstock. It cuts perfectly on the first pass with no spacers. I was wary of suction based die cutters as I had some initial sticking issues, but after rubbing the underside with a baby wipe and gluing to my glass mat it wouldn't budge! For a basic embossing/cutting plotter, this worked great. The narrow feed limits the use of embossing folders, but the basic cutting function works well. The C-plate cuts quite hard with the sticky fibers - I'm looking for my "tapering" cutting mat which is excellent at removing cuts and "crumbs" and I hope using it will prolong the life of the C-plate Faux leather, cork plates and paper, I cracked plate B and had to buy a new set of plates. I just ordered this so things can always go wrong; but now I like it, it is as described and works great. I have a diamond press which is great for small dies. I keep it on my desk and use it often for mood stamps, but the plastic folders warp easily and the opening is less than 2 inches. I then tried the Sizzix Sidekick with a 2-1/2" opening.
