BLACK+DECKER BDCD8HDPK Home Project Kit Review

Arrived yesterday and today I used it to install a doorbell with a camera. I drilled through the aluminum and wood frame around the door with no problems. It's easy to control the speed, both drilling and adjusting screws. Bought to replace my late husband's heavy duty drill/driver. The weight and balance are perfect for these 77 year old hands.

Great tool for beginners or young people. He will certainly cope with most of the work at home or in an apartment. But for more intensive use or normal work tasks, you definitely need something with at least 20V. But I got this for my litter box at home as a quick fix rather than running to the garage and lugging around a big, heavy drill. Ideal for tight spaces under cabinets and small hands.

The parts inside jingle a bit, you can tell it's made of cheap material BUT it's cute, light weight (smaller than you think, actually) and does the job. downside, it's very happy. Pull the trigger slowly and it's still very fast. Might confuse you if you are precise. But if you're just trying to poke holes in the walls and hang things, that's great for that!

This drill bit set might not be for heavy work, but it's good for repairs I have at home - and the I've used it to take care of a few projects that have been on my wish list for way too long. Anything this doesn't work for is probably beyond my current abilities (I'll spare you the stories from my younger days), and I hope I know enough to tackle these super-powered projects. And it's hard to beat the price
