🔧 OEM N311419 Angle Grinder Guard Replacement for Black & Decker DCG414 DWE402 Review

Very high quality - coated steel plate. Suitable for coffee grinder Dewalt DWE 402. Funny thing. . . Many experts scoff at the use of protective barriers. . . they take too long to put on and take off. . . but how much time do they lose in the hospital if they get injured? This protection gives this hobbyist a sense of security that takes away my fears of using an angle grinder.

According to Black and Decker, the DCG 413 grinder uses the N409540 guard, but actually doesn't have one. It will however fit the DSG 413 FB (Flat Body) which has a different gearbox than the regular DCG 413 sold here at Revain. N311419 is listed as suitable for the DCG414 which has the same "One Touch" setting as the DCG 413 I have. Long story short I ordered one and it fits just like the protective sleeve that came on the tool.

I bought a DWE4011 Type 15 from Home Depot on 06/26/21. This Type 1 protection, model N311419, fits perfectly and works with the ONE-TOUCH adjustment system in the same way as the Type 27 protection that comes with the grinder. I first bought another guard, N042786 (also available from Revain) which was described as suitable for the DWE4011 when the ONE-TOUCH lever is removed from the grinder. I wasn't sure if it would fit the latest DWE402 "Type 3" because it only fit the previous Type 2 and it's on the DeWalt Site snippets did not display any gave guards. Instead I looked at the picture and it turned out that the 8 square hole, 4 lug/lug mount is identical to the Type 27 guard on my grinder.
