So I really like them, they are very useful for my tango lessons. I had to dial 9 and then use shoe stretch. I prefer my dance shoes to be a little tight to begin with as leather tends to stretch and warp over time. The 10's aren't tight enough for my legs.

Pros
  • Heel height about 2 inches
Cons
  • Protection

nice shoes: Athletic

I've worn the same shoe for over 10 years and have always loved it. Because I danced so much, I got bursitis and hammer toes from shoes. I took them to the shoemaker to load them up so they wouldn't get sick. Before I send the shoes back, I put on an old pair to dance. After class I could hardly walk. The shoes are not to blame. Now I'm looking for shoes that stretch far and high. Like I said, I loved her. It was comfortable and easy to dance in, no consequences for ordinary shoes.

Pros
  • stretch underfoot allows split flex to move with foot in pointe and loafers
Cons
  • no

Working has minor flaws

I ordered two pairs of these for two different musicals (one was supposed to be black the other flesh). Holds up well but scratches fairly easily. The fabric on the upper part of the sole literally lifted when I put them on for the first time. It's not a big problem, but it's a little annoying. I would recommend going half a size down. I usually have 10 and ordered this one first but as it is stretchy and flexible around the ball of the foot the shoe sometimes flexed in the middle when I walked

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • Can't remember

Women's roomy toe

These are my second pair of Bloch Character shoes. I got my first pair in black over a year ago and they do a great job with weekly adult Broadway jazz lessons and occasional stage performances. I wear street shoes in a 7 1/2 width and can usually order my normal size from other dance and standard shoe companies. I was warned by a fellow dancer that Bloch is a custom size so I ordered a size 8 1/2 and a size 9. Size 9 and came back 8 1/2. By the end of the 2 hour rehearsal my legs were swollenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Versatile leather shoe with leather upper and leather lining
Cons

Dangerous shoes - don't waste your money

First, I have bought Bloch products in the past and have had no problems. However, these shoes are NOT GOOD. They look nice but the T-strap is a joke. They're barely wider than dental floss and I had to believe it when other people said the straps snapped after almost every use. The final nail in the coffin, in this case, was the instability of the entire shoe. My 17 year old daughter has been doing MT since she was a child, she is an accomplished dancer and wears 3 inch character shoes withโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Synthetic sole
Cons
  • No performance

Good but short in length not width

I would say this is a good dance shoe if you don't want to get your toes hurt by men's shoes , if you dance partner dances or ballroom dances. However, they work too little, but too much. Maybe half a size. My shoes run 6. If foot width and height up to 7 for street size and medium size. I bought the 7 medium as my shoe size is a 7 med for street shoes and it fits like a pair of 6.5 street shoes. I wore it to the dance. Needless to say my toenails hurt and now that I can't get them back I needโ€ฆ

Pros
  • External shank stabilizer strengthens the heel without sacrificing flexibility
Cons
  • boring packaging

Nice shoes/runs small

*EDIT* After wearing these shoes for a trial I realized I really needed to go up a whole size. I had a lot of room in width, but my toes were too close to the ends and hurt after wearing them for a short time. So I traded them in for 9 1/2 (thanks to Revain's amazing return policy!). They should arrive on Tuesday and I'm anxious to see if they work. I really want them because they are so beautiful! Sequel follows. :)So far, so good! I wear a size 8.5 up to a size 9 in most shoes. I wear themโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 100% leather
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
