Comes in a little box.

The box is like some Origami box with no staples, glue, or anything but itself holding it together with even a flap. Impressed with the wire as I am with the tiny box it was shipped in.

Pros
  • Magnet wire is copper wire that coated with a thin layer of insulated enamel. This 26AWG magnet wire is 3.0 pounds(3910 feet). The copper strands conducts, the insulation is made from modified Polyester with a Polyamideimide overcoat, and protects the coiled wire from short-circuiting.
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with certain types of electronic devices

Great for circuit board rework

Insulation melts well with solder and is small enough for small circuit board rework - so much easier than having to strip wires and have the insulation melt further as the wire is soldered down.

Pros
  • It is what it is
Cons
  • More costly than thicker wires to manufacture

Best wire for at-home projects

I made an electrostatic field generator, it was supposed to withstand 220 volts, it took the heat with no problems , and i made my projects possible with BNTECHGO 20 AWG Magnet Wire.

Pros
  • Item as described. Very fast delivery. Quality seems OK at first glance.
Cons
  • Difficult to solder

It's good for me best in my review

Kinda hard to screw up magnet wire, this stuff worked just fine in my recent ham radio kit build. No complaints, as advertised. I now have enough for 5 lifetimes of toroid winding.

Pros
  • Good purchase
Cons
  • Limited mechanical strength compared to thicker wires

I don't think the length was listed, it's about 50 meters

Amazing, came just as expected, I bought it for electronagnets, and it was perfect because both ends of wire were out, so I could just connect a power supply without needing to unwind the wire. The plastic also has a bolt shaped interior, that's designed to be used with a drill to unravel the wire quickly.

Pros
  • And I use them making a couple of crossovers for my speakers and it works perfect for inductors
Cons
  • Can be brittle and easily damaged

Great for "Bodge Wires "

Good thin magnet wire to have on hand for making things (transformers, motor windings, magnets, etc), but also excellent for making repairs and modifications to PCBs. This stuff is easy to get a hold of, so we stock it in the lab. While it doesn't hold up to heat like silicone or teflon coated "white wire", solid core magnet wire is easier to bend into shape on the board, as well as burn off some of the insulation in-situ with your iron. Far preferable to trying to strip 30ga wire.

Pros
  • With a 155°C temperature rating, you can trust this wire to handle high-heat applications without issue
Cons
  • Requires specialized knowledge for proper use

Great for a kid's science project.

Perfect for building a small model of DC motor. Couldn't find the BNTechogo AWG Magnet Wire locally. Spotted the item within 5 min. on revain and was delivered within 2 days.

Pros
  • Used wire to rewind choke relay and relay works like new. Used same size wire and same no. of turns.
Cons
  • Prone to kinks and bends

Is what it says it is.

Nothing much more to say. Roll of magnet wire. Going to use it to re-wind some vector monitor yokes. I didn't weigh it to make sure it was 4oz, but it looks to be sufficient for the job regardless.

Pros
  • Great for end fed dipole antenna
Cons
  • Higher risk of short-circuits and other electrical problems

Use this to make find metal slivers in your hand

Great stuff, enamel holds up well. Spool kind of gets tangled if you have too much tension on it while winding. Use care, and you will be happy. I wrapped this wire in tight coils around a cardboard tube and glued it stiff. By connecting it to the subwoofer leads in my stereo I.was able to crank up the power, and when passed over a splinter of metal in my skin the fluctuating magnetic field let me feel where they were so they could be removed. I'm happy!

Pros
  • Very useful for use in the Electricity merit badge for B.S.A. The guage is perfect for that purpose.
Cons
  • Can be brittle and prone to cracking over time
