Happy customer and good value for money

Product arrived and easy to install for a new first time boat owner. The thing is well preserved as it rained all day today. I've used plastic poles and they broke easily so bought these and am happy with how they hold up after a decent amount of rain. I will buy it again if I ever need to replace the one I have

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Update available

Strong and durable, suitable for rowing and sailing

That's what we were hoping for from the new poles for our boat. They are definitely stronger than the standard poles we had when we bought our boat. The ONLY downside I would say is that I almost burned my fingers trying to fold them down after we took the lid off in that hot Florida because they were so hot. I do need one more though as I figured 2 would be enough for our boat and I've only had the option of buying 1 or 2 at a time.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I don't like it at all, everything is fine

Mech. You're all right, all right.

A bit early for a review but I use it. They slip, they slide when you try to tighten the lid. You need some kind of footing underneath them to stay. Let me tell you, it's quite difficult to get under the boat's awning and reattach the poles after they fall off. Even then, they still slide, creating an area where water collects. You have to work with these things. I'm still looking for a better solution, but so far they work fine.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • unreliable

How to prevent water from forming a 'dam' on the lid of a pontoon boat.

Pontoons are great! Wrestling with lids that drain rainwater into the pond is little fun. Thanks to these new rods, our aftermarket coating works much better. These bars are well built, easy to use, can be adjusted to the ideal height, have a nice wide base and a mushroom tip to distribute the load and protect the floor from stress cracking. Great solution at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Alternative to boat covers

Probably a very good product for someone else. the cover slides forward. What they need to do is design a new bottom bracket that works with fasteners built into the boat's deck that support the "dining tables" found on most pontoon boats. I'm going to use these table stands and cut off the sponge mop handles and put them in these stands. These don't fall.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Some little things

Buy 2! The bar needs something to stay in place while protecting the boat.

I ordered two legs for my ski boot. One for the bow, we placed the second in the middle closer to the stern of the boat. The sticks will not stay in place and will move or fall off when you tighten the boat cover. You have to make several adjustments, which is a problem. If you could secure the underside of the supports to keep them from moving that would be helpful. Otherwise they seem to be a good product. You definitely need 2 supports so that water does not collect on the lid of the boat…

  • Weight

  • Slightly crumpled

They are too expensive if they don't work at all

If they worked it would be great. However, they just didn't get up. I tightened them and they either fell from the rain or the poles rolled off. I tried different spots on the boat and no matter what I tried they didn't work. Well if there were buttons on my cover then yes I would see them work much better. However, with mushroom tips, they just aren't strong enough with a small base. Maybe if the base was 2 times bigger. It's really a shame because I really wanted them to work. Now I'll have…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not sure

Liked the idea but durability issues with travel support product

I used this pair to support my heavy tarp which was first used to support a holdall on my 18ft boat. With proper canvas straps on the upper, it stayed in place well and didn't fall off. However, I noticed twice on the road that my rear handlebars just broke. I'm not sure if this was due to the vibration that raised the support leg. I screwed them on pretty tight. I still give it 5 stars as it exceeds my expectations and withstands travel and wind for 2 trips of 550 miles. For me, the initial…
