Excellent leash! It's durable and has held up well to my 70 lb St Bernard pup. There are two places to hold the leash (one is about 6 inches from where you attach the collar). I ordered this leash not knowing exactly which dog I would take. As it turned out, I settled on a fairly strong pit bull with some room for improvement in terms of his leash skills. This leash is very durable! I can easily control him by holding onto the handle, which is at the perfect height from his back to my waist. I always doubt leashes, my main concern is that they will break. I have a 70 lb 3 year old pit bull who is very sweet but strong. 11/24/20 Updated my rating: changed from 3 stars to 1 star. My dog has been off the leash 4 times in the past week. Something with the connection is not very. I'm not sure how she does it, I can only imagine her pulling so hard that she lowers the lever. In any case, this is unacceptable for a leash. We needed a new leash for our 60lb lab who sometimes needs a short leash for unfamiliar dogs. For that purpose, this leash works great. It's well built, with soft handles, fairly durable, with thick webbing and stitching, and nice reflective details. However, the black anodized finish of the clasp and rings will wear out after just a few weeks of normal use. We have been using this dog leash for over 10 years. We decided to buy 3 more of these leashes but this leash was from a different brand. On three separate occasions the leash has been properly attached to our Beagle's harness and checked to ensure it is secure as we always do. Twice the line broke off the harness in the house. I am so happy with this leash! It has nice soft handles and feels very durable. I like that it has a lower handle because I have a dog that gets a little restless at times and I had to wrap an old leash around my hand to shorten his leash. I now have a comfortable bottom handle so my hand doesn't get crushed when he pulls! The only disappointment is the parcel dispenser. It's cheaply made compared to others I've bought. Even the carabiner/clasp that keeps him on the leash seems to break easily.

I bought this leash for a 30 pound, small, muscular Schnoodle who thinks he can handle a Ford F150 or any other vehicle that has the audacity to show up on his street , on which he walks.
