Love him like a fountain pen artist!

This paper is great for drawing with fountain pens. Very thick so it doesn't bleed, very smooth so there are no issues with fibers clogging my tips and extremely microscopic bleeds if present (ink dependent). I wish they were a little smoother/less absorbent to offer more shine, but you'll still see a little shimmer if the ink is the same value as J. Herbin Stormy Grey. All in all I love this paper!

Pros
  • Has a smooth hard surface for all types of pens
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

My favorite paper at the moment.

I've used this paper before and keep ordering because I love it. I use a variety of pens (Micron, Prismacolor, etc.) and the ink applies well. I have some alcohol based markers that I'm trying to get to grips with. I'll say I don't think they won't flow through the paper, so put something underneath. This can ruin the next page. Also, I…

Pros
  • Ideal for thin, crisp lines, including technical and manga illustrations
Cons
  • Slightly torn

preferred paper

My favorite ink and marker paper. I tried different marker papers and settled on Parisian paper because of its ability to hold ink lines and how well it picks up marker ink. Some papers tend to be too absorbent, leading to ink build-up and possible sculpting. Borden and Rileys allow me to saturate an area and blend different hues without too much build-up. I wouldn't recommend it for colored pencils or graphite as it doesn't have teeth to speak of and it can be difficult to completely remove…

Pros
  • Does not absorb moisture, smear, run or break fine lines
Cons
  • does not fade
