After one of the glow plugs on my '02 TDI caught fire I decided to buy four of them and replace them all at once. The wiring harness requires little effort to move it far enough to replace the glow plugs. All you need is a 10mm deep socket, a wrench and maybe some extensions and links, getting to the two in the middle is a bit more difficult due to the harsh lines. . Excellent glow plugs. The check engine light on my VW Jetta TDI 03 came on the other night, the code was for the cylinder #2 glow plug. I tested all 4 plugs for resistance to make sure it was the plug and not a wiring issue, which appears to be the case happen occasionally.
