Better save $400 on parts

Just put them in my '01 Jetta TDI and they work great! My check engine light was on and the store wanted to charge me $130 for the connectors, $135 for a new wiring harness (which they say always needs to be replaced because the contacts oxidize and give out the CEL code anyway) and $200 for the labor. Instead, I bought 4 plugs here for less than 50€, installed them myself in 15 minutes and sprayed the contacts with contact cleaner (Deoxit 5 or similar). Let it dry for a few hours before…

Starts much better in cold weather and is easy to change

After one of the glow plugs on my '02 TDI caught fire I decided to buy four of them and replace them all at once. The wiring harness requires little effort to move it far enough to replace the glow plugs. All you need is a 10mm deep socket, a wrench and maybe some extensions and links, getting to the two in the middle is a bit more difficult due to the harsh lines. . They can be easily screwed in and out. Mine, which came out of my car, had quite a bit of soot on it, so be careful when removing

They work great, great price, great Amazon service! 2003 VW Jetta ALH TDI

Excellent glow plugs. The check engine light on my VW Jetta TDI 03 came on the other night, the code was for the cylinder #2 glow plug. I tested all 4 plugs for resistance to make sure it was the plug and not a wiring issue, which appears to be the case happen occasionally. My check revealed that the spark plug in cylinder #2 had died. It was a Beru brand that I put on maybe 5 years ago or about 20,000 miles. I don't know much about glow plugs, but it seems to me that their lifespan is a bit…
