Drill Through

3/16 in. x 3-1/2 in. I used a Bosch cobalt drill bit in a hand drill. Circumstances suck because my rechargeable drill died and won't turn on. Most likely, the battery needs to be replaced. Whatever the hand or electric drill, the Bosch CO2139 product probably won't need to be replaced for a good, long time. It's an attractive piece of metal that goes well with my drill. The bit dug into wood and drywall well, I didn't try metal surfaces or anything harder because of the handicap. But I am sure

Holds very well when drilling stainless steel.

Bought two of these in different sizes for drilling stainless steel. After extensively searching the internet for stainless steel drill bits, I found a post that seemed logical to me. The author noted that when drilling stainless steel, there is no point in lubricating the drill bit with oil or grease. The goal is to cut stainless steel without overheating it and the drill bit. Lubricants only cause slippage. So I put washers on the stainless steel surface I was drilling and left them filled…

Useless for steel! best in Twist Drill Bits

A few days ago I purchased a set of 230 HSS Titanium Twist Drill Bits from Hurricane Tools to use in my new hobby of knife making. These drills were absolutely useless for hardened steel. Disgusted I sent them back and ordered these drills from Bosch, regretting going with an unbranded brand. (I used DeWalt beats and they were very decent).
