Screw size doesn't fit Bosch 18V saw

Saw guide fits 3/8" channel on my 18V saw but saw screw clamp doesn't fit the screw provided. I had to recut the hole and use a different size screw to make it work. Otherwise a good tool.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • So-so

Skil part suitable for Bosch circular saw

Bosch Support told me that this is a guide rail for a Bosch cordless circular saw. Bosch also makes Skil. The set screw that came with the fence, although recommended, does not fit the saw. Went to the local hardware store and bought the correct thumbscrew from their range. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Works as intended.

This is a great product.

This guide seems more than solid enough to get the job done. If you accidentally stepped on it I'd see it flex, but for those wondering how durable/cheap it was before you bought it, it's more than durable enough. That being said, I don't understand why Skil didn't include this in the saw. If you've ever used one or seen someone using them, they're essential.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Not bad

Worth a try. at Power Tool Parts & Accessories

1 x 3 to 2 inches snapped with no major problems. I was very worried about ripping on such a narrow strip of short wood because I couldn't pinch it. So I made two passes, one at each end. More work, of course, and more room for error. I had to sand down the bumps to level the page. If you only have a circular saw, sawing is even easier. I will use it again. Good luck breaking.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are defects

Faster and more accurate item for power tools and hand tools

This simple guide bar works great with your Skil circular saw and makes precise rip cuts quickly and easily. It comes with a built-in ruler and thumbscrew, making it easy to adjust the cutting width by simply turning the thumbscrew. When the guide bar is not needed, it can be quickly removed with a half turn of the knurled screw. Also, the thumbscrew can stay on your Skil saw at all times, so you don't lose the screw if you remember to re-tighten it by quickly turning it clockwise after…

Okay, but not what I need.

Product is fine, sturdy and fits my level 5480. My only complaint is that it's not long enough for what I need. I need to tear 12 inches off a sheet of plywood. This fence is only 8 inches long, and with proper feed through the saw footboard, you can only rip about 5 inches off in the end. The length is not specified anywhere. in the description, except for product sizes that indicate it as 13.9 inches. Now I understand that this number contains a long package that is difficult to open. In…

Don't waste money.

I bought this item thinking it would be useful, but there are two reasons why it is useless. This item can be for a Bosch tool. but that's about half the width of the slots on the saw. This means there is a lot of wiggle room in the tool and you can't really set the fence square to the saw. The second reason this part is useless is that it came without the necessary screw and spring to hold it in place; The seller did not provide all the necessary details. I've spent some time double-checking…

Good splitting stop for my Master

This splitting stop is perfect for my 7 1/4" Master. The clamp screw was the wrong size but I just got another one from a coffee can with spare screws. I didn't think that I would ever find a grip on my master, who is about thirty years old, the emphasis is harsh, on one side there is a ruler with an inscription, ironically, the only problem was the size of the screw, and the screw hole was unthreaded , an oversight. Found the right size screw and cut the threaded hole and everything works…

Handy for cutting laminate

I have a SKIL 20V 6-1/2" circular saw which is great for cutting laminate. I don't have a table saw and I don't need one. Without a table saw, it's difficult to cut all the way through those 48-inch boards for the last row of boards, but it helps. Simply insert the saw, set the spacing (it can be pointed in any direction) and use the guard for a nice straight cut every time. The markings are hard to read so I ended up using a tape measure or reference board but I think if I fill in the etched…
