The product came bent a little on the edges. It is the same kind of bowens mount that originally came with my fotodiox diffuser and it broke. This was my replacement choice. The diffuser is excellent but the mount is not sturdy. I can bend it with my hands. I will invest in a more sturdy mount in the future.

I purchased this product knowing that it was too big for my Paul Buff equipment. I knew I would have to cut a bit off the edge, I had to cut approximately .25 inches to be exact. Once I made the cuts this ring worked great and allowed me to mount my 48" octobox to my Flashpoint Xplor 600. I had to check closely to see that it was in fact all metal - so poor is the metal quality of the bowens ring, This is two pieces press-fitted together and entirely likely to come apart after a relatively short time. However all that is completely irrelevant since it's THE WRONG SIZE. The flange is almost 1/8" too large to fit into any standard speedring. As such it is completely useless. Silly me - I failed to test it within the return period. I wonder if it will work as a frisbee?
