Description of ๐Ÿ€ Optimized BraceAbility Patella Tracking Knee Brace - Support Sleeve Stabilizer for Post Kneecap Dislocation, Tendonitis, Patellofemoral Pain, Meniscus Injuries - Ideal for Short Running, Exercise, and Basketball (Large)

TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE - Use a soft, flexible tape measure and find the circumference around the middle of the kneecap, in inches (refer to the 2nd image above). Lightweight brace fits right or left leg. SWOLLEN KNEE TREATMENT - The patellar wrap helps treat and prevent conditions including patella tracking disorder, patellofemoral syndrome, knock knees, arthritis, and runners or jumpers knee. REVERSIBLE ALIGNMENT - This splint features a C-shaped buttress, which provides customized support for medial or lateral kneecap instability, as well as an adjustable strap system for tension control. SWEAT-RESISTANT - For working out or sports such as football, gymnastics, volleyball, and soccer, this breathable band, made of moisture-wicking fabric, provides compression like a neoprene sleeve, without the sweat. OPEN-PATELLA DESIGN - A circular opening around your knee allows you to easily squat, climb stairs, and bend over throughout the day. It is only 6 inches tall, making it comfortable and discreet!.

Great bandage for bent knees!

This brace works for me as I have had problems with my knees and legs since birth. I found it more comfortable to wear over elastic pants while walking or exercising. Since my leg is bent inwards at the knee, it still slips off after a few hours of wear. This is an issue with my fit, not the braces. I'm considering buying a second one as there are times when both knees need to be raised at the same time. Age and arthritis are not my friends.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

I really like this knee brace.

I really like this knee brace. I like the low profile on the back of the knee. A big plus for my book. What keeps me from giving this 5 stars is the fact that it's a bit tight on my hips. I asked BraceAbility about the fact that I have large hips and was concerned that the only measurement used was around the knee area and was assured that the knee measurement was the only measurement needed. If I buy another one for another knee, I'll buy a size up.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great for patellar subluxation

I purchased this brace after having a patellar subluxation due to patella tracking disorder or a runner's knee. You will immediately feel the stability it offers! The design needs some work as the clamp is not long enough. An inch at the top and bottom gives more room for the velcro and is much easier to wear. I would recommend wearing this over pants if possible. Otherwise, you'll get annoyed if you wear it for too long. The shoulder strap has worn through use and appears to have shrunkโ€ฆ

  • Excellent overall performance

  • Definitely a bad product

Works well, straps could be better.

Looks like the Corflex bandage but is 25% of the price - great deal! I used it while running to stabilize my knee when I was suffering from "runner's knee". It has helped a lot. The placement is very important and make sure it is tight enough. This one was too big for me in the front, although according to my PT, the "middle" would have been too tight. So I'm deducting a star because it can be a bit tricky to get the front strap tight properly. But it stayed on my knee (under sports capes andโ€ฆ

Slips down, no support

Tried it the day I got it and the next day. He refused to get up, whether on bare skin or clothing. I have a knee problem and wanted this to help with exercise and walking but it wouldn't even get up just walking around the house. Also, the weird crescent plus wrap didn't feel supported at all, I have an old neoprene sleeve that gives way more support. Without support it exerted some pressure, I could tell my knee was still unsupported and ready to slip if I moved. The slightly stiff shape wasโ€ฆ

Holds the patella in place beautifully

I got this brace because I had previously subluxed the patella and now tend to subluxe or dislocate it fairly easily when I exercise. I run regularly, do hurdle races, and do quite a bit of high-impact exercise. Being sidelined due to another knee injury had a huge impact on my lifestyle. I've tried several knee pads, both inexpensive and quite expensive. These fairly inexpensive braces (comparatively) are my favorite. I just put it on for a Spartan Super (through mud, water, rough terrain andโ€ฆ

The best of all the braces I have tried for patella misalignment

I have tried many knee braces and this is the best I have found so far for patella misalignment for my knee. Others are either ineffective because of incorrect tracking of the patella or limit daily use. This one, for me at least, is the best for both knee protection and all-day comfort. The brace I would say offers moderate protection, holds the patella in place but isn't too restrictive to make it difficult to walk or wear it all day. But after wearing it all day, the skin at the back of myโ€ฆ

Works well, straps could be better.

Appears to be the same as Corflex but 25% cheaper - great deal! I used it while running to stabilize my knee when I was suffering from "runner's knee". This helped a lot. Placement is very important, and make sure it's snug enough. This one was too big in the front for me, although according to my PT, 'medium' would be too snug. So I'll take one Star deduction because the front strap can be a bit difficult to get a good tightening, but it stays on my knee (under sports capris and long pants)โ€ฆ
