It floats.: Switches and relays

Perfect fit for a 1977 Continental car and most Fords of that era. All quenching was done correctly and the seals were tight. Overall a good product and at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Good but not great

I thought it would leak

. There were public holidays for soldering work. Didn't want to take the risk of taking it apart again to add another part. Bought from a Ford dealer. You can see what you are getting before you pay this way.

Pros
  • . Absolute legend
Cons

Ford Fuel Gauge Brass Float

Just fitted a float to a Ford Econoline fuel gauge. Fits perfectly and my sensor is working again. The old float apparently had a (invisible) crack somewhere because it was filled with gas. A good product.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Update Available

Works perfectly! Best in Parts

This was the perfect replacement for my husband's 1981 Ford LTD. The previous float was gone (we suspect it had disintegrated) and we were happy to find this quality replacement for little money. We expect this brass float to last much longer than the plastic material that was our other option.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Zero

Did exactly what I needed

The fuel gauge in my 1993 F150 front tank was always low. When the fuel pump failed I replaced it and found the old float was full of fuel. A new float could not be purchased locally without purchasing the entire pump hangar assembly. :( So glad this part was available from Revain. The sensor works great now.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled

Fits my 1950's car:

This worked great on my restored 1950's car (PA-22) With an empty tank it slowly fused and then worked for a while what the difficult to diagnose. The old float easily jumped out of the thick wire lever, but this snapped easily. No adjustments were needed and the sensor is now working properly again.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Nothing here

Saved me $40 on switches

I thought I needed a new transmitter node that would cost me $50. One photo shows a shiny new float versus an old float that I failed miserably to repair. This product description sounds like it's for something 1989 and older, but it worked for my '93 Ford Ranger (aka Mazda b2300) with the original fuel gauge and surprisingly original fuel pump. The second photo shows that it fits snugly to the sender with no modifications.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
