Braun Series 8 83M Replacement Foil and Cutter Cassette for Enhanced Performance Review

I've been using the Braun 83M Razor for almost 2 years and it's time to change the Foil and cutting unit. The product corresponds to the description and fits all 100.

I have always used Braun shavers; I wouldn't think of using anything else but they are expensive as are their parts. Their quality is second to none so I pay the price and get what I paid for.

This is a replacement blade/cartridge/head if you want, not the quality of the original. I shave every day or every other day and this replacement lasts longer, requires more passes and cuts less hair than the original. To the point where I'm considering shaving again. It takes so long. Not worth what is charged.

Neither the original knife block nor its replacement will be acceptable. The new series 8 shaver became dull 3/4 months after purchase. Lasts a few more months of a close shave and finally decides to invest $49 in a "genuine" replacement Braun cutting unit. Unfortunately a slight improvement and after 3 months exactly the same scenario. Braun should pull itself together and send in replacement units on a quarterly basis. For a $200 razor, this is clearly not enough.

Nice razor. But I screwed up with this foil and cutter set. It was damaged in transit but the damage was not apparent until I opened it. Then I saw that it was divided in two. Unfortunately I waited too long to open it. From now on I will open and check immediately after delivery. It's an expensive lesson.

I bought the shaver about 8 months ago and the original top of the head broke off after 6 months and I bought another one and the same thing happened after 2 months. I will most likely throw it away. I would not recommend buying.

The original Braun razor head lasted over a year, this replacement barely lasted a month. Wouldn't buy again, not worth the price.
