Fits, easy to install, cheaper than local parts store.

99 Suburban Chevrolet hummed and ran very erratically at idle and while driving. Replaced spark plugs and cables, not much has changed. I bought a distributor cap and slider. Take the old one out of the car, put the new one in and the car runs better than ever. This product comes highly recommended and much cheaper than the local parts store.

Stranded me with ignition parts

Ordered this to replace parts when tuning my boat. Didn't last 10 hours. The center metal tab on the rotor knob that touches the coil tab on the distributor cap broke on my third ride a few weeks ago. Left me in the water about 8 miles from homeport. When initial troubleshooting showed no spark I went straight to the cap and rotor as I had recently replaced them and found a defective rotor button. I put the old rotor back in and the problem was solved.

Not worth it: Part

The only good thing is the price so you get what you paid for, don't use screws if you buy this cap with the wrong thread or length. I removed my distributor and now the old screw is no longer holding it. hence buying a new distributor, it didn't seem to fit exactly like the original either, there seems to be a bit of play, also the rotor usually only engages when it fits snugly, had to play around with that. Please pay a little more for an OEM brand and you won't regret it in the long run asโ€ฆ

DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED TORX SCREWS

later As mentioned the notches are weak and break easily and they appear to be slightly larger in diameter than the original screw because they don't go in as easily. I've been working on this thing all day trying to get it out with a vise only to break it a second time so I did a little more research and figured out how to get the whole manifold out which isn't very hard, but you can seriously mess things up if you don't put it back in properly. After drilling it out and damaging theโ€ฆ
