I bought this for my garage. I installed it about 6-7 feet from the door and expected it to turn on when I walked into the garage. However, it only turns on when I stand underneath it. I'll reinstall it right outside and see what happens. The only disappointment is that motion detection doesn't work any better. I suspect the problem is that my hot climate garage is not the ideal environment for a probable infrared motion sensor.

Installation was fairly easy as it was mounted on the ceiling of my mother's pantry where there was never any light or electricity. Mom walked in and the light sensor picked up her movement and the little pantry lit up beautifully for the first time. FOREVER AND EVER! After about 30 seconds of no movement in the pantry, the light went out! We only hope that the initial work will continue for a long time. The time will show! Very satisfied so far! When mom is happy. All are happy!

I needed more light in the shower. They are waterproof and cost around $20 each (I bought two). The items were well packaged and easy to install. Provides excellent lighting in the shower. The motion sensors work as expected, even too well. It turns on every time I go to the bathroom. It's good to have this feature, especially for late-night trips to the bathroom. This also happens during the day as bathrooms don't get much sunlight. I will most likely burn the batteries faster than expected…

I live in a 120 year old house. We are fortunate to have closets in our bedrooms, and even more electrical wiring in the closets. I've tried cordless lights that look like switches, but they're either at a level that doesn't illuminate most of the closet, or at a level that's awkward to control. Like other reviewers, I have a problem with the lighting in the bathroom shower stall. The experience would definitely improve if the light could be heard directly in the shower - which I don't have. Saw this for sale and it seemed like the perfect solution for someone who doesn't want to hire an electrician or hook up new equipment.
