This product is poorly designed. I imagined there would be slots on the kebab rack to keep the skewers from turning on their own. Maybe it's misinformation on my part, but I'm a bit frustrated that I can't flip the meat and veggies to cook the next side because they just flip back over to the already cooked/burnt side because I don't have the food perfectly balanced got on the skewer. In theory this seems like a great product, but in practice it's not quite so. The way the kebab base works is that it unfolds (it has loops and folds in half) and you open it up and place the skewers over it, but when you pick it up you have to be careful or the loops will try to buckle to bend . and your kebabs will fall down. It's also hard to get off a hot grill after you've used it. I think it's easier to just buy doner kebab skewers and put them straight on the grill, it didn't help with…

The tray now has an S shape in the middle and I'm worried that the cheap metal will break if I keep bending it trying to straighten it. Bought 2 sets when the price dropped to $7 and at that price I'm very happy with this kabob cookware. They make grilled kebabs very easily. The skewers are quite strong and I prefer them to cheap wooden skewers which need to be soaked before roasting and will still burn. A very simple kit prevents food on the skewer from directly touching the cooking grate. I use tongs to turn each skewer as it cooks, and a very simple utensil does the job. I really like this set. It works very well until you try to move it. Unfortunately, it completely recedes. The design is such that if you try to lift the kebabs (ie move the entire frame from the grill onto the bowl) the frame will tip "up" and collapse and/or the kebabs will fall or fall out of the frame . It didn't really work like I expected. While skewers are square, they're not very good at preventing the meat from turning when the skewer is turned. The skewers should be flatter and wider to prevent twisting. It would be better if the skewers themselves were longer or had longer handles. Do not stir the contents on each skewer.
