🌀 Broan-NuTone L300KMG Ventilator Fan, 277 CFM 3.1 Sones White Enamel - Horizontal/277 CFM 3.7 Sones - Vertical Review

We installed this fan as part of our total kitchen remodel. Our stove is on a peninsula and I didn't want a large hood to obscure the space and since it is flush with the ceiling and not noticeable we didn't have to move the exhaust pipe used in the hood. the previous configuration of the kitchen, located to the left of our oven to ventilate the roof. I am very happy with the fan. It really sucks the air out of the kitchen and is much quieter than the fan that used to be mounted above the hob.

Draws in a lot of air but is noisy and the draft damper tends to rattle a bit at altitude. Get electronic cruise control and it will be a great fan. I mostly drive it at about half speed and that makes it pretty quiet. The fan rubbed against the metal until I adjusted it, but apparently it wasn't properly adjusted from the factory. Be sure to buy this unit. Other reviews have recommended a variable switch. I have one and am taking it out now. This device is so quiet we forget to turn it off. We don't hear how it works. We only hear a slight flow of air, which is not very noticeable. We see no need to run the variable in a smaller thread. We run it completely and it works very well. Mirrors no longer fog up. I'm going to make it a regular switch so we know to turn it off along with the light when we leave the room. I use…

The only reason for 4 stars is the condition of the blade. The fan blades hit the inside of the fan. The electrician bent them to eliminate rattling and noise. Now the fan works very well. It's not very loud at all, in fact I was surprised I didn't hear it at low speed. The contractor used 8 inch insulated vent hose and for us the vent ran horizontally through the ceiling to the outside of the house. Update: I called the supplier hotline to complain of grinding noise due to a common blade bend or misalignment. They immediately sent me a replacement blade with a motor. The new one is perfect! The new blades are all the same length and run straight. Due to its different length, it wobbles and scratches. With the new unit, it runs much more quietly and with less vibration noise. I changed my rating from 3 stars to 4. 1st post. As with many, the fan blade scratched the case. It makes a grinding
