If only it was compatible with the latest 13 " MacBook Pro

This is probably a great product if you buy it for any MacBook that actually fits. It does not work as advertised with the new 13" MacBook Per. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is too big to fit far enough in to charge.

Pros
  • Great range
Cons
  • Reliable

Big! But USB-C requires a special configuration!

In order for this thing to work, the power cord needs to be specifically routed through the jumper (so 1/2 of the only plugs in the unit are strictly for power)! Even if the Apple USB C to HDMI/USB/USB-C adapter is connected to a power source, the other connector is not released for anything (example). Careful handling of large files on external drives. My external hard drive would rather I open my laptop and connect directly than brydge.error code 100006 all the time).

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some bugs

I think it toasted the lightning ports on my new MacBook Air

Bought this to pair with the new MBP Air. I've been using it for a week or so and am happy with it. Then my laptop stopped charging. I went to the genius bar where they searched it and found some charring on the connectors. Since this dock was the only device I used with the laptop, I have to conclude that it burned my ports. Since the laptop was only two weeks old, Apple replaced it with a new model from stock. I was lucky.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Not the best

Doesn't work in computers and accessories

Bought for the 2018 MacBook Air, tried different display/HDMI cables on the vertical dock from Brydge and Best Buy. But the docking station didn't show up on the two HP monitors. I've searched the internet for a solution but haven't found an answer. I've visited the Brydge website but their installation and troubleshooting guides are terrible, no help. This docking station had a job, it shouldn't be that complicated.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Sad packaging

waste of money! in Computers and Accessories

The docking station is designed to seamlessly connect your laptop to multiple devices. However, this silly item only gives you 2 Thunderbolt ports and one of them has to be used for power. No expanded access other than what Apple is offering with the new MacBook M1, 2 Thunderbolt ports. You still need a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable to connect your display device. So how are you supposed to connect a keyboard and trackpad or mouse without shelling out another $240 for a Magic wireless keyboard and…

Disappointing rejection of the Henge dock

I really liked the Henge dock for my 2015 15" MacBook Pro. But I switched to a new Mac and thought I could recreate the magic of the Henge dock. Thing is well built but useless, here's why it sucks: - the mac doesn't even fit in - no cables or adapters are included - the mac has a headphone jack and the dock won't accept the mac from that side (WTF ?) - It's a huge missed opportunity, with no built-in dock to which the user could connect multiple peripherals - This is the same price as Henge's…

  • Nice packaging

Big! But USB-C requires a special configuration!

In order for the thing to work, the power cable has to be routed through the bridge (ie 1/2 of the plugs in the device are purely for power)! Defective product. I requested a return/exchange a week after the 30-day return period was over. Rejected. Revain asked Brydge Technology to cover this as a warranty claim. Brydge Technology replied to the Revain CS representative and asked me to file a warranty claim through their website. I filled out Brydge's support ticket for CS, got a response and then got banned; Ignore all my subsequent emails/messages. Defective product combined with very bad customer service = DO NOT BUY…

Not to fit MacBook Pro 2020 M1 as advertised

This product is advertised as supporting the new M1 MacBook Pro but it is not. The MacBook M1 is a bit thicker than previous versions so it sits too tight on the dock (I now have scratches on my MBP). Obviously when putting it in it doesn't quite catch on as I don't have a display and charge. May work well with older MacBooks. However, it is built like a tank, solidly built. However, it should be noted that it is HIGH when your MacBook is docked. I prefer the horizontal dock I bought to replace

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Volume

Well Built AND SUPPORTED Macbook Air M1

I've seen a lot of people rate this as support for the Macbook Pro M1 and that's why they gave it less stars. This version is not for Macbook Pro but for Macbook Air M1. And it works fine. Mine just arrived today (April 3rd) and my 2021 Macbook Air M1 is docked as we chat. BTW, I've also read reviews where people say you need one of the connectors to connect directly to the store. Harbor. While this might make sense for the Macbook Pro M1, which has additional fans and needs extra cooling, this
