Good for casual browsing but terrible P2P support

I've been using this router extensively for the past 3 months. Here are my thoughts: 1. Pretty straight forward at first. There is a proprietary automated Buffalo initial setup wizard that is easy to get up and running for 95% of users. I think this is a smart move by Buffalo as it keeps non-techies away from some DD-WRT overclocking tweaks that can break a router pretty quickly over time (about a month). The router is good so far. Slightly higher bandwidth and reception expected. Replaced an old Medialink router with this one, hoping to take advantage of DDWRT and improve performance. Firstly, I consider myself a fairly technical guy and it took me a bit to get back on my feet. This is not for the average user as the software is a bit complex. Second, the reception isn't as good as my old Medialink router that I placed in the same spot. Last but not least, and the main reason I gave this 3…
