Great lettering and easy/simple

This was my first time setting up network cabling and connecting the cables to this patch panel was extremely easy and straightforward. Everything was excellent and deserved the first time.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

What I didn't like was that I had a shielded version of this with a .

What I didn't like is that I bought the shielded PCB version of this which is MUCH better. I only went through about 8 cables and the layout makes it very tight. Use their shielded CAT 6 version. All cables run from the back and are pushed through without interference from other cables.

Patch panel with solid connections

Excellent patch panel. The finish is nice and it feels like high quality hardware. The connectors are solid and hold cables well. The rear punch block allows for both standard A and B and also allows the use of a Krone or 110 punch tool. I have used the 110 tool and have punched solid category 6 wire with no problems. It makes a strong connection. The transmission speed is high at true gigabit speed.

Can't praise enough

Can't praise enough. The guy fixed some wires in my basement. I currently have about 15 ethernet cables going to my main switch in the basement and this helped eliminate them as I had cables going to 3 sets of 6 port wall outlets. It was very easy to use and expandable. I installed it with an entry-level RAC wall mount. If needed, I could convert it to a multi-level 24 port without any problems.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Good but not great

Very cheap/very good

I come from the network administrator side, where patch panels have always been built by hand. Considering how much I spent on this, I'm not sure why I would ever do it again. This thing is very studied and well constructed. It is divided into panel sections. So if a port goes down, you have to take out the entire section to replace or fix it, which means about 5 other users will lose connection. Get Tool 110. This saves you the hassle of using a small set of tools to thread the wires through…

If you're in the US, make sure you have a European (diagonal) puncher!

Not exactly sure why, but this patch is not listed as European. A different tool is required to attach the wires as they are all diagonal and can break or come loose if you use a straight tool (American style). Overall it makes a solid impression. I'm sure it works great. After looking for a European style punch tool in about 5 stores, I had to return it and find one that had American style (straight) cable rail punches.

Low cost, great value.

I did a lot of research before I decided on this panel. Everything is clearly labeled and I had no trouble getting my cable through. As you'll see in the FAQ, this patch panel doesn't have interchangeable connectors, but it was fine for my use case. I use it for my home and will most likely never need to touch it again. I am very happy with this purchase. One more thing. I used to use patch panels that had 2 cables directly on top of each other. I love that this panel holds 2 pairs on top and 2

Great for beginners

Worked in IT for many years and I've always wanted to run cables around the house. He ended up pulling the trigger and borrowing a set of percussion tools from a friend. I've never done this before but have done other things in the past and all I can say is that wiring this product was the easiest and best part of the process. All connectors are labeled (I chose A for the A and B standards) and are easy to read so you know you're connecting the correct cable. 24 ports is probably too much for…

Okay, but use the right tool.

If you try to use the 110 hole tool, you will likely run into problems with connection errors. This keystone panel has angled connectors designed for the Krone tool. They are not straight connectors designed for the punch blade 110. The blade 110 bends angled metal connectors into an unreliable shape. Although these hybrid connections are listed for both instruments, they are not reliable. The connectors are angled or straight. Most of these Chinese parts are specific to Europe. See pictures of
