Makes it much easier to replace a non-genuine PSU

I bought this to replace a power supply unit (PSU) that needed to be replaced with another PSU I had laying around . However, the PS cables were not long enough to reach the power connector on the motherboard. This cable made it possible. I also changed the 24-pin socket to a 20-pin, making this cable lighter. This is not an inferior cable, this is a sturdy, well-built one. I recommend it if you need it.

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Great price

Looks good and feels solid but is a nightmare to install

The ends are so tight I almost snapped my motherboard trying to connect this thing, same tightening at the other end I connected to the cable BP. Trying to connect it was absurdly difficult, more so than any cable I've ever connected. It's very strong and sturdy, just needs to be easier to put together. The rest works as intended. I ended up dropping the power strip and just bought another power supply that it didn't need.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Crumpled

What you need is an extension and you are okay with unwanted connections on a low power system then it could be related to your time. If you need something with quality connections that will handle high current systems like HEDT, look elsewhere. I didn't even open the package. I saw what was there, laughed and put it back in the mailer for return.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Annoying

Ideal for cable management!

Sorry it's a little hard to see from the pictures but THAT'S THE ESSENCE! Ha ha. The power cord that came with the power adapter was a different color and didn't match the theme of the computer at all. This extension looks much better, and since you can't see it, it doesn't look like anything! Ha ha. It serves its purpose perfectly. I would recommend getting a set of cheap plastic wire combs to keep them looking good. It would be nice if they included a cheap set, but that's not a deal breaker.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

This solved my problem with installing a heatsink.

I was trying to install a new heatsink to allow my computer to run on water, but the original 24-pin cable was so bulky, thick and dirty that the heatsink could not be properly connected. wasn't so happy with the idea of adding another 12" cable to my ITX case, had to do something with the stock cable. With the extension I was able to get a nice tight flat bend and now the cable has a nice gap between the heatsink. My only other alternative was to pay a pretty steep price to have a customโ€ฆ

24 pin extension black - works

I've bought a few of these from different vendors and different brands. They all worked great, just like the ones I bought. This allowed me to route the 24-pin PSU cable behind the motherboard tray so the wires weren't visible inside the case. Because the wires bend easily when I install it on the motherboard, it doesn't put any pressure on the 24-pin connector. Gives me more security and thus protects the motherboard connector. I would use it again.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • easy repairability

Inexpensive, stylish, functional.

Not only is this cable quite hard to find (a 24-pin ATX power extender), it also has a very nice jacket. Each cable has a black jacket with no visible cable colors. The plug itself is also black. It's the ideal cable length in terms of functionality, but it's also great for neat and stylish cable management. All of this is really cheap.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Nice Internal components

I built my system about 5 years ago, all good and necessary, but for some reason the 24-pin ATX cable is not fully wrapped and you can see several different colors. Cable from where the sleeve does not cover. This annoyed me a bit as the power supply was off budget and a good brand, I was looking for jacketed cables and really didn't need the full set and I found this $9 solo that saved me $20 so got it I it. It works fine for what it is, no comb included but it works and I have no complaintsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Shipping was very fast
Cons
  • Useless features
