As mentioned before, I connect my [new] Yamaha P125 keyboard to an iPad Pro so I can use the Smart Pianist can use application . That works fine. I added a 90 degree connector to relieve the iPad connection when used in landscape mode and I'm very happy with the ease of use I received. Only used for a short time (about a month or two) so I can't comment on durability; so far so good.

I love this product. This is a really great cable if you're a DJ with a new MacBook Pro and don't want to buy a USB hub. This cable is for you if you need to connect a MIDI controller to a USB-C laptop. The only thing to worry about is that before connecting to your computer, turn on the controller and close the program and then you need to connect the cable to your midi controller and laptop so it is properly connected to your program.

I'm using mine as a "digital audio out" from my Samsung Chromebook Pro to an external MINI USB DAC and from there, an RCA Audio output to my speakers. Works perfectly. Just plug it in and you're done. The audio signal is much stronger and clearer than through a Chromebook's headphone jack. If the external DAC is not connected to a power source, you may need to leave power connected to your Chromebook (or other device) to keep the DAC powered on.

Like many people who have bought a new series of MacBook Pro (with Touch Bar), I've been annoyed by the need to use clunky adapters that are expensive and easy to lose, not to mention, that sometimes they are easy to separate, and sometimes the keys also overheat. I bought this cable to use with a USB DAC, I have USB C to USB B. I used to have expensive cables but I found some good companies that make great cables at a reasonable price , and this is one of them.
