Excellent customer service!

I first got a faulty cable that wasn't securely connected to my device which caused my computer to stop recognizing it intermittently. Luckily, the manufacturer (Cable Matters) offers a lifetime warranty on their product and immediately sent me a replacement cable. I've been using the replacement cable for a week now and it stays connected very securely and works flawlessly. I can confidently say that this is a quality cable. I value excellent customer service almost as much as the productโ€ฆ

Cable Matters makes the best cables.

I had problems with USB 3 glitches because my devices came with cheap cables. USB 3 interferes with the 2.4 GHz signal band used by both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In my case, cheap cables kept my iMac mouse and keyboard disconnecting all the time. Bought this and another USB 3 cable from Cable Matters and Viola, problem solved.

Good quality cable.

This cable works as intended and is of good quality. I bought it for a Display Link Monitor to use with my MacBook Pro (Late 2016) and it works exactly as it should. I'm sure it will also work for charging phones or devices with Micro USB 3.0. Please note that this cable will NOT fit into a Micro USB 2.0 port.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Long wait

Great cable! I hold my fists at Cables and Interconnects

I recently bought a new 2017 Kaby Lake MacBook Pro but now they only have USB Type-C ports. I also had an 8TB Seagate backup drive and used the USB 3.0 port on a hub, but that's still quite a hassle, and data needs to be transferred to other things through the hub. This cable was perfect as it plugged directly into my Seagate Expansion 8TB external desktop hard drive and then into the USB-C port on my MacBook Pro. It's amazing how much faster he's gotten. Although my hub uses USB 3.0 whichโ€ฆ

Cons
  • Upgradeable

This is an update of my original one star review. Cable Matters came by and sent me a new cable to replace the one that was shutting down my wifi (weird). This cable works great. So if you receive a cable that interrupts your WiFi, ask for a replacement. This cable works great with my portable hard drive. Life is good.

Pros
  • Sparkly
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Machined electronics

I have to say I don't know if this cable is any good or not. He connected my Seagate drive (from Costco) to my laptop and I was able to use the drive. I don't know if the data rate was higher or lower, but I didn't feel anything negative, so I'm satisfied. The cable looks good, but we'll see. I've only used it twice since I bought it.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Minor issues

Works great with my external Blu-ray drive

I bought this to connect a USB-C laptop to my external Blu-ray drive. So far I've only tried the read-only Blu-ray, but I'll update this if I have trouble writing to the Blu-ray. For my needs, I will spend most of my time reading Blu-rays to save them on my NAS.

Pros
  • Quick swap
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Fits loosely on all connectors MBP

I have been using this cable for almost 2 years in the same condition that I received it. The cable itself is pretty solid and works as intended. However, you must sit very carefully on this cable and not move it. Any movement and he will eject the disc. Maybe I just got a bad cable from the batch. Who knows. I still use it, but I just need to make sure I'm not walking around with my laptop connected to the network because I'll lose any work I do that uses a drive that connects to my computerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • High Price

It works well, fits right and is well priced

I bought this cable to connect my Western Digital My Passport Pro to my new MacBook Pro (USB-C) without an adapter. Can't comment on durability as I've only had it for less than a month, but it fits well and snugly. The transfer speed seems to be as good as the old cable - probably only limited by the speed of the hard drive (not the SSD). I also like that it's longer. The original cable was about a foot long. The only thing that would be better would be a splitter on the USB end that wouldโ€ฆ
