I had to look up what a quail is. I bought these to halve grapes for chicken salad! They also go great with blueberries, wieners and cheese sticks. I gave one to my neighbor who uses it to castrate his monkeys. This is a tricky business.

Have been using these for a few months now and am very happy with the purchase. I bought 3 packs because I raise quail and knew I would give some eggs to family members who didn't have a chance to open the eggs. They work great and I have washed them in the dishwasher. I will be buying more to incorporate into eggs when I sell them at the farmers market in the spring.

Worked as advertised. Did the job but getting 3 was overkill. I know they were cheap at that price for 3, but how many quail egg slicers does one person need? I guess I can give the rest away, but I don't know many people who eat quail eggs. I will definitely never have to order a quail egg slicer again.

I am pleasantly surprised at how easy they are to cut and how efficient the quail egg opening process is. Although I've only used it for a few other things as my quail have only recently started laying eggs, I'm happy to report that I haven't had any issues with eggshell particles getting into my pan. I will definitely recommend this particular brand to my egg buyers.

I really like these. I made a quail egg omelet the other day and quickly whipped up two dozen. No projectiles hitting the mix and no mess! Sometimes they stick a little when you close them, but if you hold them properly they work fine. The handles are a bit flimsy so they don't always close perfectly and the tip gets caught on the opposite blade. Still a very handy kitchen gadget when using small eggs like quail or pheasant.
